Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and enthusiastic Baker / Barista / Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This is a multifaceted role where you’ll be responsible for crafting delicious baked goods, preparing high-quality espresso drinks, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring high standards in food preparation and beverage service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Baking & Food Preparation:

    • Prepare and bake a variety of products, including pastries, breads, cakes, and other baked goods.
    • Follow recipes and adjust them to meet customer preferences or dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, vegan).
    • Ensure the freshness and quality of baked goods by monitoring baking times and proper storage techniques.
    • Decorate baked goods and pastries for an attractive presentation.
  • Barista Duties:

    • Prepare a range of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos) to customer specifications.
    • Froth milk to the correct texture for different drinks.
    • Serve beverages and baked goods promptly while maintaining a high level of quality.
    • Create beautiful latte art to enhance the customer experience.
  • Customer Service:

    • Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, offering assistance and answering questions.
    • Take customer orders and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
    • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a calm, professional, and timely manner.
    • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • General Support:

    • Assist in maintaining stock levels for baked goods, coffee supplies, and other products.
    • Ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of all equipment, including espresso machines, ovens, and baking tools.
    • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in baking, barista work, or customer service is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail in both baking and coffee preparation.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during busy periods.
    • Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of tasks at once.
