Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Cabinet Installer / Carpenter / Shop Help to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in carpentry and cabinet installation. As part of our team, you will assist with the construction, installation, and finishing of cabinets and woodworking projects. You will gain hands-on experience working in the shop and on customer sites while being mentored by experienced professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cabinet Installation & Carpentry:

    • Assist in the installation of custom cabinets in residential and commercial spaces.
    • Help measure, cut, and assemble cabinetry components.
    • Ensure precise and accurate installations, working closely with the team to achieve high-quality craftsmanship.
    • Assist with finishing work, such as sanding, painting, and staining cabinets and other woodwork.
  • Shop Help:

    • Organize and maintain the workshop, ensuring tools and materials are clean and readily accessible.
    • Assist in the cutting, sanding, and prepping of wood materials for cabinet construction.
    • Operate shop tools and machinery (under supervision) for wood cutting, shaping, and finishing.
    • Perform routine maintenance and care of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Customer Site Support:

    • Assist with the safe transportation and setup of cabinets and materials to job sites.
    • Help with loading and unloading tools, equipment, and supplies at customer locations.
    • Follow safety protocols on job sites to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • General Support:

    • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
    • Follow instructions from senior carpenters and installers to carry out projects according to company standards.
    • Help with cleanup at the end of each project to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • No prior experience required, though any background in carpentry, woodworking, or general labor is a plus.
    • Strong willingness to learn and develop carpentry and installation skills.
  • Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in woodworking and carpentry.
    • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and measurements.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions.
    • Comfort with standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time.
    • Willingness to work in a variety of environments, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and outdoor job sites.
