Job Full Description
This opportunity is located in Monroe, NC. The ideal candidate has 5 years of laser operating experience who can program, set up, performance maintenance and operator this machine. You will be loading the steel on with a hoist and setting up the machine to perform the precise cuts. Once the output is complete, you will measure the output with micrometers and gauges.
The laser operator is responsible for operating and maintaining laser equipment used in various industrial and manufacturing processes. They are skilled professionals who ensure the safe and efficient operation of laser systems to achieve desired results.
Job Requirements:
- Operate laser cutting machines based on job requirements and specifications. Set up the equipment, adjust settings, and align materials to be processed.
- change computer comps
- checking parts after first cut to meet specs
- know how to change different nozzles based on the thickness of the metal
- Load material into sheet bays
- Load and edit machine programs
- Perform general laser maintenance, including start up/shutdown, nozzle centering, replace cutting beds and keeping lasers and workspace clean
- Perform advanced maintenance
- Monitor laser operations to ensure accuracy and quality of output. Conduct visual inspections and use measurement tools to verify that the processed materials meet the required specifications.
- Handle assorted steel raw material and scrap
- Operate hand tools
- Ability to frequently lift 50lbs- bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling walking sitting and standing for 8 years per day.
- Experienced crane and forklift operator is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
$25/hour
