Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Friday 8:00 AM - [end time])
Hourly Rate: $15 - $18 (performance-based reviews)

Family-owned small business looking to hire 2-3 permanent associates to join team as Powder Coaters specializing in Teflon painting for industrial appliances. If you have experience with general contracting painting or have used spray guns or airless guns (such as Graco), we would love to talk to you! Powder coating experience is not required—training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Degreasing: Use acetone-solvents, scotch bright pads, and rags to clean surfaces.
  2. Sandblasting: Operate grip blasters and cabinet blasters, requiring wearing blast suits and helmets. Must be able to consistently lift 75lbs throughout the day.
  3. Masking & Painting: Place parts into a paint booth, mask them as necessary, and use spray guns (Gema and Nordson brand) for powder coating.
  4. Oven Setup & Operation: Rack parts and set oven temperatures (up to 850°F). Use glass fiber mitts and reaching poles to remove parts from the oven.
  5. Quality Inspections: Inspect finished products, making adjustments as necessary, and follow a checklist for quality control throughout the process.
  6. Packaging: Prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring they meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience in general painting, spray painting, or industrial coating is ideal. Willingness to learn powder coating techniques is essential.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 75lbs consistently throughout the day.
  • Soft Skills: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic. Ideal candidates will be able to work well in a team environment with constant communication.
  • Safety: Strict adherence to safety standards, including the use of respirators, dust sheets, and protective gear. Safety meetings every Monday.
  • Work Environment: This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job.
