Job Overview:
As a Pool Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to pool care, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of pool equipment. You will be expected to ensure that pools are functioning properly, water quality is maintained, and clients receive excellent service. Your expertise will help us maintain a high standard of pool care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pool cleaning and maintenance tasks, including skimming, brushing, and vacuuming pools.
- Test water quality and balance chemicals such as chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness to ensure safe water conditions.
- Perform routine equipment checks, including pool pumps, filters, heaters, and motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor pool equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with the installation and replacement of pool equipment, such as filters, pumps, heaters, and automation systems.
- Inspect and monitor pool systems for any issues or signs of wear.
- Ensure pools are in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Communicate with clients to inform them about the status of their pools and any necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain records of service visits, chemical treatments, and repairs made.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience as a pool technician or in a related field required.
- Strong knowledge of pool systems, equipment, and water chemistry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment and systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks on schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and addressing any pool service-related concerns.
