Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician for Pools, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of residential and commercial swimming pools. You will work independently, traveling to various job sites, and ensuring that pools are clean, properly maintained, and in compliance with safety regulations. Training will be provided for those who are new to the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular pool maintenance, including cleaning, vacuuming, skimming, and checking chemical levels.
- Balance chemicals in the pool, adjusting water chemistry as necessary to maintain safe and clear water.
- Inspect and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems related to pools and spas.
- Perform pool water testing and record results, making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, local codes, and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pool owners and addressing any concerns.
- Perform regular inspections and report findings to management for any significant repairs or upgrades needed.
- Keep accurate records of service schedules, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Entry-level candidates with no experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong interest in learning about pool maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
