Job Full Description
The Part Time Utility Customer Service Specialist ensures customers receive excellent service by assisting each customer in an efficient and friendly manner. This position greets customers with a pleasant tone and smile, while actively working to resolve questions and concerns regarding utility accounts; processes accurate deposits and performs basic accounting for daily transactions; collects and reconciles accounts, both in person and over the phone; receives and responds to citizen inquires and complaints via email; and uses problem solving skills to find creative solutions to customer inquiries while adhering to operating guidelines. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor. (Approx. 25-30 hours per week)
