Job Full Description
A local trucking company is looking for a collections specialist to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers to collect outstanding payments for freight services rendered.
- Resolving billing discrepancies and disputes promptly.
- Negotiating payment plans with delinquent customers.
- Updating and maintaining accurate records of collections activities.
- Working closely with sales and operations teams to ensure effective credit management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of transportation billing processes is a plus.
