Graduate Engineer

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill a Graduate Engineer position in Bismarck, ND. This role involves working on municipal projects from planning through construction, contributing to project design and development of plans and specifications, and serving as a resident project representative during construction. The Graduate Engineer will report to a Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

 

Job Details:

  • Salary: $30 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

  • Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

  • Type: Full-time position

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in municipal projects from planning through construction, including design and development of plans and specifications.

  • Provide civil engineering services such as planning, design, reports, construction observation, and project management.

  • Serve as a resident project representative during construction, reporting to a Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

  • Communicate updates and progress with supervisors and project managers, and attend various meetings.

  • Prepare proposals, participate in business development activities, and follow company procedures and safety policies.

  • Perform tasks independently and as part of a team, participate in professional organizations, and handle travel and overtime during construction season.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year.

  • 0-5 years of experience in Civil Engineering.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn CADD software.
