Manufacturing Engineer Manager
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager oversees overall production flow, floor layouts, plant equipment, labor reduction efforts, and cost saving initiatives for current and future programs. They design and develop fixtures and tooling, manage continuous improvement systems, and ensure facilities, equipment and vehicles are in working order. this role collaborates with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and solve issues.
Position Detail:
- Salary around $100K, with relocation assistance available.
- Onsite position, Monday-Friday, overseeing Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing Engineering (8 direct reports)
- Manager+ role: Plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs departmental employees.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage production flow, layouts, and labor reduction efforts.
- Oversee fixture, tooling, and process design for manufacturing enhancements.
- Improve efficiency through workflow, space, and equipment planning.
- Recommend and coordinate new processes, systems, and materials.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Oversee operations, maintenance, and improvements with facilities and maintenance team.
- Manage CI activities and continuous improvement systems.
- Lead equipment and automation projects.
- Ensure engineering projects align with company goals and support new product hand-offs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
- 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Preferred: Maintenance software and ERP/manufacturing software experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
