Responsibilities may vary by client, but typical duties involve safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials, maintain accurate inventory, and contribute to a well-organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:
While exact responsibilities depend on the client’s needs, typical tasks include:
- Operating forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks) to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Moving and stacking pallets or materials in designated storage areas.
- Performing routine equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assisting with inventory management by scanning, labeling, and tracking goods.
- Following workplace safety protocols and reporting hazards or equipment issues.
- Collaborating with team members to meet production and shipping goals.
- Some positions require 50 percent of the workload in picking and building pallet loads.
Pay Expectations:
Our typical pay range with clients is $17.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience. While we occasionally receive openings with higher compensation, these are less common.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Valid forklift certification (a plus).
- Previous forklift operation experience (1+ years preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs alone, team lift 100 lbs, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Experience with inventory software or scanning systems (a plus).
Education Desired:
HS diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
