Job Full Description
Express Employment is in search of good people to fill a Diesel Mechanic position at our clients’ location in Canton, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Repair diesel engines; injector cups and overheads; emission related issues; transmission and other problems as identified.
- Initiate diagnosis of the vehicle's problem(s).
- Drive vehicle into the bay, hook up the computer and diagnose the problem area(s).
- DPF systems
- Electrical wiring for tractor trailers
- Clutches and ABS brakes.
- Brakes on trailers.
- Head gaskets, air bags, a few transmissions.
- Welding is a PLUS.
- Valid Ohio driver's license with the ability to be insured by the Company's motor vehicle insurance carrier.
- Be able to use diagnosing and scanning equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issue
- Class A-CDL is preferred
- 2-5 years diesel tech experience
- Being able to adjust valves and head gaskets
- Use Air Compressors
- DOT inspections
- Diesel Mechanic is a must
- Class B cdl is preferred but not required
- Clutch and brake experience
Hours are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm $20-40 based on experience.
