Manufacturing Technician | Batavia, OH
1st Shift | $19.50/hour
Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring to fulfill a Manufacturing Technician for a production firm in Batavia, OH.
Overview: Adhere to company programs, procedures and policies while assisting in the manufacturing of seasonings. Participate in the following activities pertaining to the responsibilities of the position.
Core Functions:
• Responsible for working independently and completing day to day operations such as: weigh-out, blending, packaging, basic maintenance, shipping & receiving, cleaning and sanitation upon documented training and supervisor approval as assigned.
• Complete heavy work load efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operations.
• Transfer materials between work areas using sit down forklift truck.
• Start and stop machines and equipment appropriately in a safe manner.
• Follow GMP’s to maintain good housekeeping to ensure compliance to food safety regulations.
• Proper handling of allergen products and equipment according to the allergen control procedures.
• Responsible for verifying accurate measurements and documentation in weigh-out, verification, and blending operation of raw materials for product formulation.
• Responsible for producing the correct finished product quality with the correct use of labeling.
• Clean and sanitize equipment using chemical dilution methods following the chemical control program.
• Authorized to sign off on tasks pertaining to manufacturing upon completion of training.
• Contribute to and model the company values, vision and mission.
• Personal development and continuing education.
Additional Expectations:
• This job operates in a food manufacturing environment.
• This role routinely uses standard food manufacturing equipment
• Exposure to flavor, odor, dust and basic product chemicals and raw materials including basic allergens.
• Regularly works in close proximity to loud machinery
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Highly motivated and detail oriented
• Some travel may be expected during the work day
Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 6:00am-4:45pm. Lunch (45 min) and two paid breaks (15 min each)
Pay: $19.50/hour
