Shop Manager | Direct Hire! (G737)
Xenia, OH | 1st Shift | $47,800 - $63,000 Based on Experience
Express Employment Professionals Cincinnati East is now hiring to fulfill a Shop Manager role for a tool rental company in Xenia, OH. This is a full time role responsible for the day-to-day activity in the shop. The Shop Manager should have a passion to work with other employees, customers, vendors and community members. This role is responsible for the overall shop, yard, repair & maintenance of equipment, loading/unloading processes, and ensuring the safety of all yard & shop employees.
Core Functions & Responsibilities:
• Monitor and direct all shop operations and coordinate with a general manager and lead mechanic for daily requirements
• Monitor equipment performance through daily weekly monthly and yearly reports
• Develop plans to improve shop and equipment performance and coordination with the GM
• Assist in mediating employee disputes
• Review shop employee job performance
• Execute the employee on boarding/training programs
• Conduct weekly meetings to improve communication and performance in the shop
• Report any safety incident and violations to the GM
• Lead by example in the safe approach to your work
• Require all necessary parts, components and supplies for the proper of the shop
• Assist the GM and completing semi annual inventory counts
• Maintain quality control standards
• Complete all required documentation and procedures for a high level of customer service
• Enter proper maintenance of the facility and grounds
• Adhere to and enforce the company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in written and verbal form
• Support and enforced government safety requirements
• Ensure the shop is clean and organized. Other duties or tasks as required by management
Education & Skills Requirements:
• High school degree required, bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Mechanical skills including repair and maintenance of equipment, small engines and other equipment
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills
• Strong reasoning and problems solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently
• Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Must be able to train in direct activities of others
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of patients and offer constructive criticism when necessary
• Must be able to function with as-needed exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents.
Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm, and Saturday 8:00am-12:00noon
Salary: $48,700 - $63,000 salaried, based on experience
