Job Title: Operations Manager - Thermal Spray

Compensation: $140K + 

Location: Blue Ash, OH 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in thermal spray technology to lead and manage day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will oversee production processes, ensure quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence. This role requires leadership in managing teams, optimizing workflows, and maintaining customer satisfaction while meeting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee thermal spray production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Manage and supervise teams involved in coating application, equipment maintenance, and support functions.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality control standards, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory levels, equipment performance, and resource allocation to support operational needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis, team training, and technology integration.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Manage budgets, forecast operational expenses, and ensure cost-effective production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal spray processes and related manufacturing operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of thermal spray coatings, equipment, and technologies (e.g., plasma spray, HVOF, arc spray).
  • Proficiency in operational tools, ERP systems, and quality management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with maintenance and calibration of thermal spray equipment.
