Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have experience in pizza preparation, cooking, and other kitchen duties. You will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared according to recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pizza Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, bake, and serve a variety of pizzas, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
- Station Setup & Maintenance: Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients and equipment before service. Keep the station clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Recipe Adherence: Follow specific recipes, cooking techniques, and portion controls for all dishes, including pizzas.
- Food Safety: Maintain food safety standards by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service during busy hours.
- Quality Control: Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation to meet restaurant standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist with tracking and managing inventory of pizza-related ingredients and supplies.
- Cooking Variety: Prepare other menu items as required, including salads, appetizers, and main courses, depending on shift assignments.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a line cook, with a focus on pizza-making preferred.
- Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with pizza dough preparation, topping combinations, and wood-fired or stone oven operation is a plus.
- Work Under Pressure: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, especially during peak hours.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work well with kitchen staff and management.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the job (lifting, reaching, etc.).
- Food Safety Certification (Preferred but not required).
