Job Title: Lead Shipping & Receiving
Location: Lockbourne Area
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Starting Pay: $20.50 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Shipping & Receiving specialist to oversee and manage daily shipping, receiving, and documentation processes. This role requires a mix of office and warehouse duties, including processing orders, managing shipping and receiving paperwork, and coordinating logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience in both office operations and warehouse environments, with familiarity in creating BOLs, packing slips, and using SAP being a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), warehouse packing slips, and shipping documentation
- Manage order processing and ensure accurate data entry into systems
- Coordinate shipping and receiving procedures, verifying shipments for accuracy
- Work closely with warehouse staff to track inventory, shipments, and packing requirements
- Utilize SAP or other ERP systems for data management and logistics (preferred)
- Maintain organized records of shipments, orders, and warehouse reports
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Assist in training and guiding warehouse staff on best practices in shipping and receiving
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse coordination
- Some warehouse experience preferred, with knowledge of packing and shipping procedures
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
