Job Title: Forklift Lead – B Shift
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Rotating Weekends)
Pay: Based on Experience
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Lead to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience operating sit-down electric forklifts, and be comfortable working with computers and technology. This role is responsible for overseeing forklift operations, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting warehouse efficiency during the B Shift (6 PM – 6 AM, rotating weekends).
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and direct forklift operators to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Operate sit-down electric forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.

Monitor team performance, provide training, and assist in troubleshooting issues.

Maintain inventory accuracy by utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.

Assist in scheduling, workflow coordination, and process improvements.

Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications:

Prior lead or supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.

Proficiency with sit-down electric forklifts and ability to train others.

Strong computer and technology skills, including experience with inventory systems.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
