Case Manager February 17, 2025

Located in Columbus, OH

Pay: $20-$23

Case Management & Support:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans for children in foster care.
- Conduct home visits and welfare checks to assess the child’s safety, progress, and needs.
- Ensure children receive appropriate healthcare, education, and counseling services.
- Work with biological families (when appropriate) to facilitate reunification efforts.
- Support foster parents in meeting children's emotional, physical, and developmental needs.
Advocacy & Coordination:
- Serve as a liaison between foster children, biological families, foster families, schools, therapists, and community resources.
- Attend court hearings, provide case reports, and testify when necessary.
- Advocate for children's best interests in placement decisions, permanency planning, and educational needs.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in accordance with state and federal child welfare regulations.
- Prepare and submit reports, case plans, and assessments within required deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with child welfare policies and foster care regulations.

Education: A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW), Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience in child welfare, social work, or case management preferred.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of foster care policies, trauma-informed care, and child development.
- Proficiency in case management software and documentation.
Licensing: May require a state-specific social work or case management license.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background checks and child abuse clearances.
