Job Full Description
Express Employment Professional is searching for a for a Baler Operator The ideal candidate will be responsible for all functions related to the processing of trash and recycling according to standards.
Essential Functions:
Operating the baler: Using a baler to compress and bind materials like paper, clothing, plastic, and waste
· Loading and unloading : Using a forklift, skid steer, or front loader to load materials into the baler
· Monitoring : Checking the baler's wire condition, feed, and paper feed line
· Inspecting : Ensuring bales are the right grade, quality, and weight, and have adequate wiring
· Recording : Keeping records of maintenance, baler downtime, and grade and percentage of waste
· Cleaning : Keeping the baler room and plant clean and organized
· Troubleshooting : Addressing any issues with the baler
· Safety : Following safety guidelines and wearing personal protection equipment
· Communication : Communicating with the plant lead about issues and with the material handler about rejected bales
Housekeeping: Ensuring the driveway is free of material and that paper and plastic don't accumulate around the property
Requirements
Individual must have experience with operating heavy equipment
High School Diploma or equivalent
