Job Full Description
We are seeking a Program Support Specialist for Emergency Services to join our team!
Responsible for: Support of Emergency Services programs and clients
Job Purpose: Provide support to Emergency Services programs and general administrative support.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Client application data input.
- Services rendered data input.
- Provide support for Bus Pass Program: verifying clients, issuing passes; services rendered.
- Provide clients with case updates, primarily via email.
- Provide customer service by phone, in person, and at events.
- Assist with reporting as needed.
- Provide support for Senior Distribution of Holiday Clearing House and other Holiday Clearing House needs as needed.
- Assist with filing closed cases.
- Other duties as assigned.
Background Requirements:
Education: Associate degree (or equivalent) Required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred; Non-profit experience a plus.
Skill Requirements:
- Self-motivated, self-directed with strong time management skills
- Excellent writing, communications, and public speaking skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, particularly excel)
- Attention to detail
- High level of integrity
- Ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with a wide set of constituencies
- Proficiency in a second language, specifically Spanish, a plus
Key Working Relationships:
Will require excellent communication with inside and outside constituencies. Inside would include direct reports, other team members and board members. Outside would include partners in the community, funding sources and donors.
Position Responsibilities:
- Planning: Responsible for assisting programs that operate on a daily, monthly, and annual calendar (Prescription, Eyecare, Dental, Eviction Prevention, Mortgage Assistance, Utility Assistance, Senior Holiday Clearing House, Back-to-School event, Fans Distribution, Advocacy and Referrals.)

- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
- Supervision Received: The Program Support Specialist must be a self-starter capable of taking initiative and able to work with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule (Choose one):
- 4 hour shift; Monday to Friday
- 5 hour shift, Monday to Thursday
- 20 hours divided over 3 days, one of which needs to be at least 4 hours on Monday
