Job Title: Property Maintenance Technician
Location: Cleveland Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time
On-Call Rotation: 1 week per month
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Property Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large residential apartment complex. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a variety of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and more. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, carpets, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct apartment clean-outs and ensure units are move-in ready for new residents.
- Maintain and repair amenities, outdoor features, and common areas (including snow removal in winter months).
- Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Complete work orders in a timely and organized manner, ensuring resident satisfaction.
- Provide proactive maintenance to ensure the complex remains in optimal condition.
- Coordinate minor remodeling and rehab tasks as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and use hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment for repairs.
- Must have own tools and vehicle (with a valid driver’s license).
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in residential property maintenance, with a preference for experience in large apartment complexes.
- Certifications: HVAC certification strongly desired. Other relevant certifications (plumbing, electrical, etc.) are a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for maintenance tasks (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, crawl, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to work in varied conditions across the complex.
- Other Requirements: Must be organized, self-motivated, and dependable. Strong time management skills are essential. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation (1 week per month).
- Additional: Reliable transportation and the ability to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.
Preferred:
- HVAC certifications and experience.
- Experience with snow removal and outdoor maintenance.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Specialized education or certifications in maintenance-related fields are a plus.
