Quality Manager – ISO 9001:2015 Compliance

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance and maintain rigorous quality standards in our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee inspections, manage quality documentation, conduct audits, and lead quality improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on approach, balancing shop floor operations with office-based quality management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
ISO 9001:2015 Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain, update, and oversee ISO procedures, audits, calibration records, and training programs.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Inspection & Quality Control
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections.
- Verify shop floor processes and ensure proper use of gages and measurement tools.
- Oversee calibration methods and maintain accuracy of inspection equipment.
Personnel Management & Training
- Supervise, train, and verify tasks of inspection personnel and production operators.
- Ensure all employees adhere to quality standards and procedures.
Quality Reporting & Problem-Solving
- Prepare and complete PPAP, FMEA, SPC, control plans, and corrective actions.
- Address internal and external quality concerns with data-driven solutions.
- Implement corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or quality management within a steel or manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in ISO 9001:2015 compliance, process audits, and quality documentation.
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools and calibration methods, including:
- Calipers & Micrometers
- Hardness Testers
- Optical Comparator
- Surface Finish Tester
- Height Gauges & Depth Gauges
- Sine Bars, Gage Blocks & Pins
- CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
- Proficiency in ISO documentation software, SPC software, ERP systems, and PPAP/FMEA templates.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Effective communication for reporting and personnel management.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and industrial equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry objects.
- Manual dexterity for operating inspection tools.
- Visual acuity for detailed inspections.
