Job Title: General Labor and CNC Machine Operator
Location: Wooster, OH
Job Summary: A company in Wooster is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals for General Labor and CNC Machine Operator positions. These roles involve various tasks in the foundry and machine shop, including removing castings from molds, operating CNC machines, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different tasks within the facility.
Responsibilities:
General Labor:
- Perform tasks in the foundry, including removing castings from molds, dressing castings, and moving foundry material.
- Clean equipment and work areas.
- Prepare and clean molds for castings, insert pins, and lock caps in place.
- Uncap molds by removing pins and lids after metal is poured and cooled.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
PPE:
- Protective clothing (cotton) uniform, steel-toed leather boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
- All PPE supplied except steel-toed boots.
CNC Lathe and Mill Machine Operator:
- Operate or tend milling or planing machines to mill, plane, shape, groove, or profile metal castings.
- Position workpieces and attach the tools required for each piece.
- Perform deburring and ensure the manufactured piece meets specifications.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring machines are greased and parts are precision-machined to customer specifications.
- Work from written and verbal instructions.
PPE:
- Safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
Shifts:
- Foundry: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday (4 days at 10 hours each) and 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM, Monday through Thursday (4 days at 10 hours each).
- Machine Shop: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (8 hours, 5 days per week) and 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday (4 days at 10 hours each).
