Our client in Wickliffe has an immediate need for a Kiln Operator.   This is a Temp to Hire position, 1st Shift.  The right person will have excellent attendance     #COH

 Essential Functions:

  • Run all thermal equipment, according to procedure
  • Perform all Dip operations according to procedure, including testing of materials
  • Inspect kiln cars daily, and replace wear items as needed (plates, poles, rods and rod holders)
  • Change tunnel temperatures to run different materials, and bank tunnel according to procedures
  • Manage and organize setter blocks as needed
  • Make setter blocks on an as needed basis
  • Must follow and adhere to all safety policies and  house keeping

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision is essential

  • Some manufacturing/machine operator experience
  • Kiln/Furnace experience is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions, interpret procedures and problem solve
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain documentation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform previous tasks and new assignments
