Job Title: Production Associate
Location: Willoughby, OH
Pay Rate: $18-$20 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
A Production Associate is responsible for complete order production. Pulling orders from order board. Reviewing production orders for requirements. Setting up their specific machine to meet the order requirements. Selecting the appropriate inventory to optimize productivity and minimize scrap. Processing and packaging each job.
Reports to Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager.
- Learn and understand all applicable aspects of the ISO 9001 Quality System.
- Learn all aspects of the metals that we buy and sell.
- Learn all functions of slitting equipment.
- Cross train on other equipment.
- Learn all math (calculation/conversions) and equipment capabilities.
- Support new business development with new/existing customers.
- Able to take direction from Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager.
- General housekeeping of work area and surrounding plant areas.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of machine experience preferred.
- Familiar with production floors and general shop etiquette.
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Able to operate a Lift Truck / Forklift.
- Previous experience with metals would be helpful.
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a Team Player and work well with others
