About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in Power Systems to join their team in Eastlake, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, switchgear, and UL891 standards. This role will involve designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear and control panels.
- Ensure compliance with UL891 and other applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Provide technical expertise in switchgear design, component selection, and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management to deliver high-quality products.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Lead design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements and cost optimization.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in power systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in power system engineering, with a focus on low voltage and switchgear design.
- Strong knowledge of UL891 standards and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design software.
- Experience with circuit breakers, bus bar design, and electrical load calculations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions for complex electrical issues.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
