Armando Castro’s story is a testament to resilience, ambition, and the power of opportunity. Born in the Philippines, he came to the U.S. with big dreams and an unstoppable drive to succeed. His first job? Flipping burgers at McDonald's in California for just $3.25 an hour. But Armando was determined to create something bigger. He found his passion in sales—selling Pop Rocks (yes, the candy!) business-to-business. That experience ignited a lifelong commitment to connecting people, solving problems, and building careers.
With over 35 years of experience in staffing and recruiting, Armando has worked at all levels of the industry. He put himself through college, earning a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA. Starting as a call center associate, he worked his way up through leadership and executive roles. His journey led him to VXI Global Solutions, where he played a key role in growing the company from a startup to a global enterprise with over 35,000 employees across five countries.
Now, as the owner of Express Employment Professionals, Armando is driven by a simple yet powerful mission: helping people find meaningful work and helping companies discover great talent. He knows that the right job can change a life, and the right employee can transform a business.
Beyond staffing, Armando is deeply committed to giving back. He actively supports The Woodlands (a shelter for battered women), no-kill pet shelters, underprivileged students in Licking County, The Blue Aces, Granville Athletics, and cancer research at Ohio State University. For him, business success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about building stronger communities and creating opportunities for all.
