Job Full Description
A company in Port Clinton, OH is looking for a Machinist/Welder/Fabricator!
1st shift: 8am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday!
Pay: $18.50HR!
Responsibilities:
- Read and understand weld symbols (or willing to learn).
- Welding various types of metals with various thicknesses: stainless steel, carbon steel, and
aluminum.
- Produce welds of the correct size and shape with few defects in multiple positions
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Needs basic knowledge on how to run a manual lathe/mill. Some machines do have a
digital readout.
- Needs to know how to use basic fabrication tools such as a drill press, sheer, bender, etc.
Requirements:
- MIG Welding, Some TIG welding experience a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to read and write instructions.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Prior experience using Lathe, Drill Press, Shear, and Pan Brake a plus but will train on these machines.
- Self- motivated and able to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Needs to be fit to move steel.
- Able to keep area(s) organized and clean.
- Work well with others and take direction, self-starter.
- We can provide some training but we are not looking for a blank slate.
