Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team working on government contracts. The ideal candidate will have advanced certification and proven experience inspecting welds to strict government specifications.
Requirements
- CWI certification with minimum 3 years experience
- Thorough understanding of government welding specifications and standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills
- Experience with quality control in government contract environments
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and approve welds according to specific government contract requirements
- Ensure all welding work conforms to project specifications and regulatory standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of all inspections and approvals
- Collaborate with project managers and welding teams to maintain quality standards
- Identify and document non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
Qualifications
- Active CWI certification with minimum 3 years certification history
- Experience working with government specifications and contracts
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and inspection techniques
- Excellent written communication skills for detailed documentation
