Job Description
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and analytical professional responsible for managing and optimizing our complex supply chain operations, with a specific focus on inventory management, cost control, and quality assurance in food and supplement manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that enhance operational efficiency
- Manage end-to-end inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
- Conduct detailed cost and quality analyses to identify optimization opportunities
- Coordinate with manufacturing, packaging, and procurement teams to streamline production workflows
- Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners
- Implement and maintain robust inventory tracking and reporting systems
- Ensure compliance with FDA and industry regulatory standards for food and supplement manufacturing
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of supply chain experience in food, nutraceutical, or supplement manufacturing
- Proven track record of inventory optimization and cost reduction
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and supply chain management software
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and packaging logistics
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning capabilities
Helpful Qualifications
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with ERP and advanced inventory management systems
- Background in quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing principles
