A manufacturing company in Struthers is searching for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their team!
Summary: This position is responsible for providing excellent customer support while efficiently coordinating shipments of aluminum and steel extrusion products. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, logistics, and order fulfillment, ensuring smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Process customer orders, provide quotes, and confirm lead times
- Maintain strong relationships with customers by providing accurate information on products, pricing, and availability
- Address and resolve customer complaints, issues, or discrepancies promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with internal departments (sales, production, and logistics) to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, orders, and communications in the company’s CRM system
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate the shipment of aluminum and steel extrusion products
- Work with freight carriers and logistics providers to arrange transportation, ensuring cost-effective and on-time delivery
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and export paperwork if applicable
- Track shipments and provide customers with real-time updates on order status
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies for shipping and handling materials
- Manage inventory levels related to shipping and coordinate with warehouse staff for loading/unloading of shipments
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years in customer service, logistics, or shipping, preferably in a manufacturing or metal industry
- Understanding of aluminum and steel extrusion processes, materials, and supply chain logistics is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), ERP systems, and CRM software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues efficiently
- Accuracy in order processing, documentation, and inventory management
- Ability to collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and work in a warehouse/shipping environment when necessary
Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and 8am-5pm (rotating weeks)
Pay Rate: $18/hour
