Inventory Control Office Administrative

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Admin for Inventory Control to support the operations of servicing mechanics, heavy equipment, and other operational needs. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely procurement, tracking equipment parts, and supporting day-to-day operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in inventory management, administrative support, and ideally some heavy equipment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee and manage the inventory of parts, tools, and equipment used by landfill mechanics and other departments.
Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all inventory transactions (incoming and outgoing).
Conduct regular physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies in the inventory system.
Procurement Support:
Assist in the purchasing and ordering of required parts, tools, and supplies for landfill equipment maintenance and other operational needs.
Work with vendors to source materials, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
Ensure proper storage and organization of all materials and equipment to minimize waste and damage.
Record Keeping & Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of all inventory items, including usage, reorder levels, and order history.
Track and document maintenance schedules and equipment servicing to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Prepare and manage reports related to inventory levels, purchasing, and stock trends.
Operational Support:
Assist mechanics and other staff with locating tools, parts, and equipment required for landfill operations.
Ensure that the warehouse or storage area is clean, organized, and safe to prevent accidents or loss.
Support the logistics team with scheduling deliveries and pickups for parts or equipment.
System Updates & Software Management:
Input inventory data and updates into inventory management software to maintain an accurate and real-time database.
Provide regular updates to the management team about inventory levels and supply chain issues.
Ensure that the inventory management system is continuously updated with the latest pricing, part numbers, and other relevant details.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all inventory and parts are stored in accordance with safety regulations and proper environmental standards.
Monitor the handling of hazardous materials in accordance with landfill and environmental guidelines.
Collaboration & Communication:
Communicate with mechanics, supervisors, and other staff to understand inventory needs and forecast demand.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline the inventory process and reduce downtime due to stockouts.
