POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversees key aspects of financial reporting and accounting for manufacturing.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary Accounts Payable contact for vendors and plant personnel.
- Coordination with external auditors to ensure that plant accounting is properly recorded and timely and meets all GAAP and IFRS requirements
- Provide support to Treasurer to provide cash flow forecasting
- Manages back end of payables to facilitate reconciliation and payment of invoices; works across Procurement, vendors, 3rd party services and plant personnel
- Advise Accounting Specialist, Plant Analyst and Manufacturing on accounting issues (inventories, fixed assets, manufacturing and cost accounting)
- Supervise the monthly closing process for plants
- Coordinate property tax submissions
- Manage ad hoc financial requests
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
- Min. 5-8 years of financial/ accounting experience
- Understanding of complex financial and accounting transactions
- Analytical and problem solving capability
- Interpersonal and planning skills
- Project management skills and process oriented
- Ability to work with full range of manufacturing positions and across different cultures
