Express Employment Professionals is searching for hard-working candidates to fill the Glass Installer position. Immediate openings are available!
As a Glass Installer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass in various settings. You will work closely with clients and other team members to ensure that all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Using hand tools
- Reading a tape measure
Skills Required:
- Measure, cut, and install glass for windows, doors, skylights, and other structures.
- Install glass in residential, commercial, and automotive settings, including custom glass projects.
- Remove old or damaged glass and prepare surfaces for new installations.
- Ensure precise alignment, sealing, and secure installation of glass components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine materials and installation procedures.
- Apply weather sealants and caulking to prevent leaks and ensure the durability of the installation.
- Safely transport and handle glass to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for glass products and services.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Assist in the training of junior installers, if applicable.
Physical Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Glass Installer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of various glass types, installation techniques, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting glass.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and practices related to glass installation.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
