Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Spooler for a local manufacturer of wireline and other oil and gas parts. The Spooler is responsible for operating and maintaining wire spooling machinery and the safe and efficient spooling of wires and cables on to reels or spools. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Tends machine that winds insulated wire onto spools preparatory to shipment or further processing
• Threads wire from supply spool or coil through distributor, tension guides, and secures end to empty spool and starts machine
• Observes machine which automatically winds wire and shuts off when specified amount of wire has been wound
• Cuts wire after specified length has been wound using wire cutters
• Inspect machinery to determine whether repairs are needed
• Tend machines that twist together two or more strands of wire to increase strength, smoothness, or uniformity of wire
• Adjust machine settings such as speed or tension to produce product that meet specification
• Work on locations to repair wires and cables
• Perform general labor as directed

Pay: $16.00/HR - $20/HR DOE

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm ; OT may be required

Requirements

• Knowledge of production manufacturing processes 
• Minimum of one-year work experience with warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and computers
• Able to work independently and as a team player
• Able to stand, bend, and move for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50+lbs
