Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Mechanic for a local equipment rental company. A Small Engine Mechanic diagnoses, maintains, and repairs small engines found in equipment like lawnmowers, chainsaws, and generators, ensuring proper functioning and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues in small engines.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and air filter changes.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint malfunctions and locate missing or broken parts.
Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with customers.
Perform and track preventative maintenance
Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair.
Ensure equipment is operating safely and correctly.

Pay: $20.00/HR DOE

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of small engine systems and components.
Able to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
