Position Overview:
As a Sawyer, you will be responsible for cutting and shaping various types of piping used in our irrigation systems. Your expertise in handling materials and equipment will ensure the successful installation and maintenance of irrigation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cutting machinery and tools to accurately cut and shape piping materials according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
- Measure and mark piping dimensions to ensure precise cuts.
- Inspect piping for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the installation team to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in the workplace.
- Assist with inventory management and material procurement as necessary.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to piping and irrigation systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in cutting piping or similar mechanical work.
- Proficiency in using cutting tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in mechanical or construction environments.
