One of Central Oregon’s fastest growing companies is seeking an experienced HR Manager for their expanding team.
What You Get to Do!
The HR Manager will plan, lead, develop, implement, and oversee the personnel policies. This position will ensure legal compliance and oversee the entity efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness of employment and HR systems. The role is responsible for ensuring HR activities align with the evolving mission, vision, values, and organizational initiatives of the Company.
• Provide responsive, prompt, constant and concise communication to Human Resources Leadership
• Provide regular written deliverables and reports re: personnel and departmental updates
• Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR and employment law,
applying this knowledge to update Company policies and resources
• Lead the development and implementation of HR policies to ensure compliance with employment laws
• Adhere to standardized HR processes to ensure high compliance and efficient operations
• Create, train on, and ensure compliance to organizational SOPs for all facets and function of HR
• Payroll Processing and Benefit Administration
• Oversee and Optimize Employee Programs
• Employee Leave Management
• Employee Accommodations / ADA
• Manage Unemployment Insurance and Claims
• Workers Compensation Claims
• Oversee disciplinary matters
• Oversee terminations and offboarding
• Oversee internal investigations
• Conduct strategic risk mitigation assessments and offer recommendations
• Comprehensive, Compliant, and Complete Documentation / HRIS
• Input accurate, comprehensive, timely, continuous performance documentation and notes within HRIS
• Train staff on accurate, comprehensive, timely, continuous performance documentation and notetaking within HRIS
• Regularly audit HRIS and Care Management Platform for compliant, accurate, comprehensive notes
• Staff Development, Oversight, and Accountability
• Responsible for the direct supervision, professional development, regular trainings, retention, and performance management of the HR staff
• Management and weekly oversight of direct reports’ tasks and areas of responsibility
• Project tracking and management of direct reports’ tasks
• Conduct weekly staff evaluations to provide coaching and accountability - and to improve performance
and maintain high standards.
• Develop contingency plans for every position throughout department, facilitating organizational stability throughout transition or absences
What You Will Bring…
• Prefer Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or Business Management.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
• High level of emotional intelligence, risk forecasting, and analysis.
• 3+ years of relevant Human Resources leadership experience in a management role
• Extensive knowledge of regulations, current practices, and applicable employment laws.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English required.
• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
• Outstanding attention to detail, project management, documentation, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a commitment to reach goals and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional time management abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Outstanding positive attitude with the ability to grasp and embrace the company's overall goals and objectives and portray them to customers and staff. Able to work well with others in a collaborative and respectful manner.
• Ability to be proactive towards achieving goals and responsibilities of position.
• Experience with benefits, workers compensation, unemployment, and leave administration.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, employees, and management.
• Experience facilitating dispute resolution.
• Ability to effectively lead while also being hands-on and executing tactics
• Experience recruiting for both executive, administrative, and service roles
• Ability to lead organizational changes through updating policies/procedures or laws and regulations.
• Comfortable utilizing office equipment, including software (MS Office, Excel, etc…)
• Ability to think from a strategic perspective, with problem solving, forecasting, and analysis skills
• Previous experience with HRIS / ATS technology and software
• Strong working knowledge of recruitment and employment practices and laws
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with high expectations and multiple deadlines
