What You Get to Do! 
The Controller is primarily responsible for the accurate tracking and communicating of the organization’s financial health. The Controller will primarily spend their time on upstream processes that directly contribute to accurate data, with the goal of preparing audit-ready financial statements. This position is a key contributor to developing synergies with internal business partners and external stakeholders. 
•    Hiring, training, and managing the performance of the accounting staff.
•    Overseeing accounting training programs and identifying training needs. 
•    Planning directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
•    Maintaining Internal Controls – ensure accurate internal and external financial statement presentation, reasonably reflecting the operations of the company. Ensure upstream processes that substantiate financials are a performed at a level to mitigate risk and satisfy an audit by independent accounting firm.
•    Financial Management – manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data. Develop, monitor and summarize business performance metrics in critical areas essential to the ongoing growth of the Company. Share findings in these areas presenting such as revenue, capital expenditures, customer analysis and personnel. 
•    Annual Budget Management – Produces the annual budget and forecasts. Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance. Reports significant budget differences to management. 
•    Partnering with Stakeholders – join internal and external business partners in contributing to the success of company-wide and cross-functional initiatives. Educate partners on downstream financial impacts of decisions under consideration and track results post implementation.
•    Process Improvement – seek to drive continuous improvement through designing and reinforcing good accounting processes. Understand the initiatives of business partners and seek ways to contribute to their efforts (ex. tracking and monetizing capacity utilization). 
•    Coordinating activities of external accounting auditors.
•    Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.

What You Will Bring...
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting. Active CPA licensure required. MBA preferred.
•    SAP Concur software integration experience preferred. 
•    Seven to ten years of proven accounting experience, including overseeing budgets and expenses and developing internal processes.
•    Solid working knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
•    Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
•    Ability to work with accounting software and enterprise systems.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
•    Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done while maintaining a positive attitude; adaptable and enjoys a challenge.
•    Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
•    Highest integrity and ability to keep company confidences.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Strong time-management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
