Job Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Help Desk Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing front-line technical support to customers, resolving basic IT issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive IT support experience for all users.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external IT support requests via phone, email, or support ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with account setup, configuration, and maintenance of user accounts and permissions.
  • Provide guidance to users on software applications, operating systems, and other IT resources.
  • Facilitate the installation and setup of hardware, including computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed, while maintaining communication with users about the status of their requests.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance support efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT services, tools, and trends to provide accurate information to users.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications (Office 365, productivity tools).
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in an IT support role or customer support environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
