Print Shop General Assistant - Union Job
Do you have strong skills in Excel and typing? Are you proficient with using computers and detail oriented? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the Print Shop General Assistant position!
We are a leading print shop that offers a variety of services, such as promo apparel, digital printing, shipping, and more. We are looking for a General Assistant to join our team and support our operations.
You will be responsible for:
- Ordering inventory from multiple warehouses and companies
- Creating purchase orders and tracking shipments
- Making sure all items are there and ready for decoration
- Sending items to external vendors for embroidery or other decoration
- Packing and labeling items for delivery
- Working with digital presses, inserter, cutter, shrink wrap machine, ink jet, postage machine, etc.
- Picking and packing orders, using SKUs and barcodes
- Operating floor jacks, pallet jacks, scissor jack, and forklift (training provided)
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to lift 50 lbs and stand all day
- The ability to work well with others and follow instructions
- The ability to work in a warehouse environment, which can be hot or cold
- The ability to wear a union badge and follow union rules
- The ability to work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
