Fence Builder
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (project dependent; some days may extend to 6:00 PM)

Express Employment is hiring on behalf of a well-established residential construction company seeking an experienced Fence Builder. This position involves working on a variety of outdoor construction projects, including the installation of wood and chain link fences as well as deck construction. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of fencing or deck building experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and efficiently on job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Build and install wood and chain link fences for residential properties
- Assist with deck construction and related carpentry work
- Dig post holes manually or with auger equipment
- Mix and pour concrete for fence posts
- Cut wood and other materials to specific dimensions, including angled cuts
- Measure distances and layouts accurately using a tape measure or laser level
- Operate power tools such as nail guns, saws, drills, and grinders
- Load and unload materials and equipment from company vehicles or trailers
- Maintain a clean and organized work site during and after each project
- Ensure all work is done safely and according to building codes and specifications
- Communicate effectively with the team and clients as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor construction issues on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Full Spanish speaking ok to apply!
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in fence installation, deck building, or general construction
- Strong knowledge of tools and materials used in fence building
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation to and from daily job sites (no central meet-up point)
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate a truck with a trailer
- Punctual, professional, and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
