Job Title: Tree Climber / Crew Leader
Location: Klamath County, OR
Salary: $25 - $45 per hour, DOE
Job Type: Direct Hire
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tree Climber and Crew Leader for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in climbing trees, leading teams, and performing proper tree pruning techniques. This role requires someone who can demonstrate their expertise in a skills test, showcasing their ability to put on climbing gear and execute tasks safely and efficiently. We offer competitive pay, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely climb trees using proper equipment and techniques.
- Lead and manage a crew, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to high standards.
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal based on industry best practices.
- Demonstrate the ability to put on gear and pass a proficiency test to show knowledge and expertise in tree climbing and safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety regulations and ensuring the crew adheres to proper safety standards.
- Assess job sites and determine the best approach for tree care and removal.
- Communicate with clients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tree Climber, Arborist, or related position.
- Ability to lead crews and supervise multiple team members effectively.
- Expertise in proper pruning techniques and tree care best practices.
- Strong safety orientation and familiarity with climbing equipment.
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and flagger card preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tree climbing and related tasks.
- Ability to pass a proficiency test demonstrating tree climbing skills and safety knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license.
Compensation:
- $25 - $45 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
