Job Title: Part-Time Front Desk Assistant for Horse and Larger Animals Practice
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
Job Overview:
We are seeking a personable and knowledgeable Front Desk Assistant to join our Large Animal veterinary practice. Prior experience with horses and food Animals preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will manage various administrative tasks and scheduling, create a welcoming environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Professionally answer phone calls, address client inquiries, and schedule appointments.
- Greet and assist walk-in clients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Coordinate appointment schedules, including managing urgent or last-minute changes.
- Prepare and submit client forms and documents accurately and efficiently.
- Use equine industry terminology confidently to communicate effectively with clients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and office area.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with horses and food Animals preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of large animal industry terminology is essential.
- Previous experience in a front desk, administrative, or veterinary role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs and scheduling tools.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage changing priorities.
