Job Full Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Boilermaker to join their team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the trade of boilermaking through hands-on experience. The Apprentice Boilermaker will assist in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, tanks, and other large vessels.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting and Learning:
- Work under the guidance of experienced Boilermakers to learn the trade.
- Assist in the assembly, installation, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for boilermaking tasks.

Fabrication and Assembly:
- Cut, fit, and weld metal components using a variety of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of boiler parts and structures.
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy.

Inspection and Maintenance:
- Assist in the inspection of boilers and pressure vessels to identify defects and wear.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs under supervision.
- Learn to use inspection tools and equipment to test boiler parts and systems.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Training and Development:
- Attend and participate in formal apprenticeship training programs and classes.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and improving skills.
Qualifications:

Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completion of a pre-apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training is a plus.

Skills:
- Basic knowledge of welding and metalworking techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
