Job Full Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our clients dynamic team specializing in residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, as well as a passion for the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and managing residential and commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and project updates.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor budgets and track expenses to ensure projects remain within financial parameters.
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Field Operations Support:
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality standards.
- Address and resolve on-site issues or conflicts promptly.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols on all job sites.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in project management or as a project coordinator.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial construction practices.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA certification (preferred).
