Job Full Description
The Compliance Administrative Assistant supports the enterprise-wide Corporate Compliance Program, assisting in the detection, correction, and prevention of violations of federal and state laws and regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance standards and ensuring adherence to policies across the organization.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee audits conducted by external regulatory agencies and subcontractors.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding compliance-related communications, including FWA and HIPAA Privacy and Security referrals.
- Assist in conducting the annual enterprise-wide risk assessment and program evaluations.
- Support the VP of Compliance in tracking risk-based compliance monitoring work plans and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and organize meetings for the Program Integrity Committee, Compliance Task Force, and Audit Team.
- Participate in committees, projects, and events to foster collaboration and outreach.
- Accurately log and maintain records of reported compliance concerns.
- Compile, analyze, and compare data related to CMS and OHA contract deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through logical reasoning and analysis.
- Collaborate with departmental staff to ensure effective coordination of internal processes for projects and audits.
- Communicate effectively with peers and other departments regarding compliance matters.
- Maintain flexibility in work hours and locations as needed for meetings and educational events.
- Ensure punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Education & Experience:
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of CPT Codes, ICD-10 Codes, Medicare guidelines, OIG Work Plan priorities, Oregon Health Plan contract requirements, HIPAA, FWA, and compliance CFRs, regulations, and statutes.
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License and vehicle insurance.
- Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) certification is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of compliance laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also functioning independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.

- Maintain a collaborative spirit and respectful demeanor when taking direction from leadership.
- Comply with all required training, including those listed in the Relias Learning Module System (LMS).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Compliance or management.
