The Administrative Accounting Assistant is responsible, reliable, and possesses strong attention to detail. This role will support our accounting team with day-to-day functions, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial recordkeeping. The Part Time, 20 hours a week position requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
Primary Duties
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including data entry, answering phone calls, and managing correspondence.
- Filing & Recordkeeping: Organize and maintain both physical and electronic files to ensure easy access to documents and compliance with company recordkeeping procedures.
- Mail Handling: Sort incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail.
- Office Organization: Ensure that office supplies and common areas are stocked and organized.
- Basic Bookkeeping: Assist with invoicing, tracking payments, processing receipts, and other basic accounting tasks to support the accounting team.
- Assist with special projects/general office duties and other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Lead.
Background & Education
- Previous experience in accounting support or office administration preferred.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- MS Office, Word, and Excel.
- Great attention to details.
- Efficiency & multitasking capacity.
- Proficiency in data entry and typing skills.
- Strong administrative skills for organizing files and records.
Special Requirements
- Must be able to comfortably lift and carry 15 lbs. for purposes of office inventory supplies.
- Be able to work in a drug free environment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and health screening, as well as random drug tests.
