Our client is a leading fabrication shop specializing in industrial equipment and we are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join their team.
Job Summary:
The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing metal surfaces to ensure durability and aesthetic quality. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fabrication or industrial setting, applying various coatings to metal components, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. We will consider commercial/residential painting experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as necessary.

Apply industrial coatings such as primers, enamels, urethanes, and epoxies using spray guns.

Operate and maintain painting equipment, including HVLP and airless spray systems.

Mix and match paint to achieve the required finish and ensure proper viscosity.

Inspect painted surfaces for defects and ensure proper thickness and coverage.

Follow all safety procedures, including proper ventilation, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling.

Work collaboratively with fabricators, welders, and other shop personnel to maintain production schedules.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage and disposal of paint and solvents.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as an industrial painter in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.

Knowledge of different types of coatings, paints, and surface preparation techniques.

Proficiency with HVLP and airless spray systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and hazardous material handling.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
